Position Overview As the Director of Government Relations, you will play a crucial role in advocating for Fujifilm within state and local governments. You will build and maintain strong relationships with state policymakers, ensuring positive communication regarding our core business areas. Job Description Responsibilities Identify and analyze state legislation and policies impacting life sciences, domestic manufacturing, and healthcare sectors, including biopharmaceuticals and imaging. Advocate for governmental relations objectives through lobbying, coalition-building, and relationship expansion with key decision-makers, including policymakers and governors. Contribute to the development of policy stances, strategies, and execution tactics that support legislative and regulatory initiatives. Inform state officials and stakeholders about our policy positions and the issues that matter. Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations and state trade associations. Conduct research and coordinate materials for public policy outreach and communications. Oversee the preparation, tracking, and monitoring of the State Government Affairs & Public Policy budget. Collaborate with colleagues across all subsidiary companies to align goals and strategies. Provide guidance on state incentive agreements relevant to Fujifilm's expansions and activities. Identify and prioritize state policy goals for all subsidiary companies. Required Skills/Education Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 15 years of lobbying and government affairs experience at the state level. At least 8 years of experience lobbying in the pharmaceutical sector at the state level. Experience managing lobbying efforts in at least 15 states, with a focus on developing policy priorities and engagement strategies for a minimum of 5 years. A minimum of 5 years in managing external consultants to achieve policy objectives. Strong political insight and a well-rounded understanding of the legislative process, campaigns, and public relations. Established contacts and relationships with state legislators, governors, and local policymakers. Willingness to travel to required states 30-40% of the time. Desired Skills Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication capabilities. Salary and Benefits: $156,483 to $219,076 based on experience. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
