Job Summary As a Heavy-Duty Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating large trucks equipped with various load lift attachments based on our business needs. You will transport collected materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, while always adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Your main responsibilities will include: Operating your vehicle in accordance with safety guidelines set by Waste Management, OSHA, and DOT, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Conducting thorough pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and documenting findings using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). Reporting any unsafe conditions or service-related issues to the Operations Manager or Dispatch promptly. Participating in all required training programs and meetings to improve safety and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Operations Manager to enhance route efficiency and share best practices. Notify the Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Communicating any service interruptions, such as closed streets or safety hazards, to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. Ensuring receptacles are fully emptied and customer locations are left clean. Following route assignments and completing daily documentation as required. Supporting fellow drivers and completing duties as scheduled by the Operations Manager. Qualifications Required: At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years. Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country. Possess a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with air-brake endorsement. Preferred: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Physical Requirements This role will require you to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, crouch, reach, and handle various materials while ensuring that all safety protocols are met. The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $23.00 - $26.00. This salary range is an estimate based on factors such as experience, education, and location.
