Job Description Join our dynamic SaaS Observability organization, which oversees enterprise software services for over 25,000 customers and processes more than 60 billion transactions each day. Our Observability team is committed to developing cutting-edge software solutions and robust production engineering services that ensure maximum reliability, performance, and resilience for our cloud products. We operate one of the largest telemetry infrastructures in the industry, dealing with petabytes of data and monitoring billions of objects. Our focus is currently on advancing our Agentic AI infrastructure to create intelligent, autonomous observability systems. We are looking for a forward-thinking Lead Software Engineer - Agentic AI to drive the transformation of our observability platform into an intelligent, AI-driven ecosystem. In this role, you will design scalable solutions that integrate telemetry, large language models (LLMs), and autonomous agents, enabling predictive insights, automated diagnostics, and real-time decision support across our global cloud infrastructure. This position is perfect for a technical leader who thrives on innovation, scaling solutions, and making strategic impacts. You will combine architectural proficiency with engineering leadership to develop a modular Agentic AI framework for observability and lead cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy and influence product direction in cloud-native environments. Your mission: build intelligent, autonomous systems that turn telemetry data into actionable insights with security, scalability, and intuitiveness. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement agentic AI frameworks for observability tools on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Design and operationalize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and integrate vector databases. Transform observability systems using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry across multi-cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure). Lead AI/ML initiatives from concept through deployment, focusing on predictive analytics, time-series modeling, and statistical inference. Collaborate with engineering, product, and executive teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Deliver insightful roadmap documents, architecture diagrams, and presentations to clearly communicate complex systems. Mentor cross-functional teams and support strategic hiring for AI and observability talent. Required Skills: Deep experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and hands-on implementation of intelligent workflows. Proven track record in designing agentic AI systems, multi-agent orchestration, and automation for enterprise use cases. Proficient in RAG architectures, vector database integration, and advanced prompt engineering for scalable AI solutions. Extensive experience with observability stacks including Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry. Skilled in large-scale implementation, service integration, and architecting telemetry pipelines across multi-cloud environments focused on reliability and performance. Proven ability to lead AI/ML initiatives such as predictions and anomaly detection. Strong proficiency in Python, microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), API design, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven systems. Adept at creating iterative diagrams and crafting executive-level presentations. Skilled in engaging stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, observability platforms, or enterprise AI systems. 5+ years in technical leadership or principal architect roles. Preferred Skills: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or Systems Engineering. Published thought leadership in AI observability or autonomous infrastructure. Experience mentoring senior engineers and architects while building high-impact technical teams. The salary range for this role in the U.S. is $96,800 to $251,600 annually, with eligibility for bonus and equity compensation.
