SHIFT: New hire training is mandatory and will take place Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm EST. After training, employees will participate in a shift bid to determine their schedule. Shift availability should be flexible within the hours of 8am to 9pm EST, including some Saturday hours. About Customer Service Operations at Cardinal Health Our Customer Service team plays a vital role in building and maintaining customer relationships through effective contract management, order handling, and problem-solving. We provide essential outsourced services in medical billing and reimbursement, acting as intermediaries for effective issue resolution. Job Summary As a Customer Care Representative II, you will manage inbound calls for placing orders or reorders of medical supplies. This role involves problem-solving order issues, researching accounts, and communicating resolutions in a dynamic and high-volume call center setting. Your responsibilities include processing orders for distribution centers and other internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with scheduling and inventory management. You will clearly communicate any delays or issues and ensure special requirements are met for non-routine orders, such as product samples. Key Responsibilities Handle incoming calls from customers and caregivers, displaying genuine interest in solving their needs. Manage a high volume of calls that may vary in complexity while maintaining professionalism and composure. Process orders for new and existing customers, ensuring accurate insurance billing information is collected. Utilize company-provided technology and navigate multiple systems to address customer inquiries effectively. Collaborate with supervisors for complex issues and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Provide timely order status updates to facilitate first-call resolution. Translate insurance terminology and documentation into easy-to-understand information for customers. Thoroughly explain product offerings to ensure compatibility with customer needs. Set clear expectations and communicate the next steps to customers based on system prompts. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with customers and team members at all times. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required. 2-4 years of experience in a high-volume call center or similar role preferred. Experience in a remote or work-from-home setting is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Experience with order placement systems is advantageous. Prior customer service experience in the healthcare sector is preferred. Experience with root cause analysis is a plus. Strong phone skills with a commitment to quality service. Proven ability to meet call center metrics such as average handle time and customer satisfaction. Expectations for this Role Utilize established job skills and company policies to accomplish daily tasks. Manage routine assignments and resolve common issues independently. Refer to company policies for guidance on complex matters. Seek assistance from supervisors for unusual problems. REMOTE WORK DETAILS: This is a full-time, work-from-home position. All onboarding and training will require the camera to be on, and a dedicated, distraction-free environment is essential. High-speed internet connectivity is mandatory, and certain types of connections are not acceptable.
