Position Summary: Join our dedicated team at Paragon Infusion Centers as a Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner. Contribute to the health and well-being of our patients through expert care and collaboration. Location: 4851 Cahaba River Rd Ste 137, Birmingham, AL 35243 Work Schedule: Days, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time role that requires onsite presence to foster teamwork and communication. Your Responsibilities: Administer therapies as per prescriber orders and within facility protocols. Complete the patient admission process efficiently. Conduct thorough physical assessments for new consults based on patient diagnoses. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records. Communicate significant changes or observations to the Center Director promptly. Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their families about the therapy plans. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Oversee medication orders to ensure they are appropriate and current prior to treatment. Participate in on-call duties, including after-hours and weekends as needed. Provide clinical coverage for other nurse practitioners on leave. Travel to various work sites as necessary. Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of nursing experience. Active and valid NP license for the applicable state. Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. Experience with IV therapies is required. Multi-state licensure is necessary for those serving in multiple states. Completion of a Tuberculosis test and either Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver is required. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare experience with IVs is strongly preferred. Experience in port, PICC, and peripheral line placements. Familiarity with medication mixing and titration. Why Elevance Health?
