Key Responsibilities: Foster trust and respect among team members. Create an inviting atmosphere for customers and provide knowledgeable answers to their inquiries about products. Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with customers and store personnel. Utilize your knowledge of pharmaceutical products to make informed recommendations to patients and prescribers. Accurately receive and transcribe verbal prescription orders in compliance with state and federal regulations. Efficiently interpret, fill/refill, label, and package prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Assess the appropriateness of prescription orders to prioritize patient safety and legal compliance. Offer drug counseling to customers and healthcare providers. Be knowledgeable about third-party billing procedures and assist customers with their charges. Maintain precise records concerning insurance and prescription information, while facilitating the delivery of medications. Engage with prescribers and their office staff via phone to clarify prescription details as needed. Demonstrate proficiency in using the prescription computer system. Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of controlled substances in accordance with regulations. Promote immunization services and administer vaccines safely and effectively. Participate in clinical activities for which you have been trained. Oversee supply ordering and ensure proper stocking of inventory. Assist in supervising associates and delegating responsibilities. File prescription orders in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Resolve conflicts and address issues in the absence of the department manager. Run and analyze reports related to pharmacy operations. Support administrative functions of the department when the manager is unavailable. Report any incidents or accidents involving customers or employees to management promptly. Document pharmacy incidents or prescription errors as per company policy. Notify management about any safety risks, illegal activities, or operational concerns. Be prepared to stand for an entire shift and lift items up to 25 lbs. Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in the relevant state with no restrictions. Graduate from an accredited US School of Pharmacy or possess equivalent credentials. Have successfully passed the NAPLEX exam. Willingness to work at various locations and travel independently. Preferred: Experience as a staff pharmacist.
