The Consumer Trade team is actively seeking a Product Manager to guide our users in navigating the complexities of managing their crypto taxes, portfolio performance, and realized/unrealized gains and losses from their Coinbase activities and beyond. You will lead the ideation, development, and execution of an exceptional retail tax experience and tax center aimed at simplifying a complex landscape, including managing multiple wallets, on-chain transfers, gas fees, and cost basis issues, all while ensuring compliance with tax reporting obligations in key markets. Additionally, you'll manage critical components of the consumer trading experience accessed by millions monthly, including transaction history and performance management. Your knowledge of financial transactions, tax concepts, and trading performance is essential in creating reliable, trustworthy experiences that empower users to handle their transactions, P&L, and tax responsibilities effortlessly. What you'll be doing: Own the Retail Tax and Performance roadmap: Analyze user behaviors, emerging tax regulations, and market trends to create a roadmap that simplifies the process for customers to view transactions, track performance, and manage their crypto taxes. Data-driven decision making: Establish success metrics and conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of tax and performance features. Utilize data and user feedback for continuous improvement. Ship from concept to delivery: Oversee product development from inception to launch and beyond, iterating to create the most seamless and trusted retail tax and performance experience in the crypto sector. Design for scalability and seasonality: Ensure the Retail Tax and performance interfaces remain reliable, efficient, and user-friendly during crucial periods such as tax season and significant market fluctuations. Drive team alignment: Foster clarity and collaboration among Consumer Trade and partner teams regarding the Retail Tax and performance vision, requirements, and execution plan, focusing on the most impactful problems. What we look for in you: 5+ years of experience in product management, especially in building or scaling consumer products in fintech, investing, tax, or data-intensive domains. Expert knowledge of financial transactions and tax reporting, including cost basis calculations and gains/loss assessments. Strong analytical skills, with a background in P&L and performance analytics for retail users. Experience in consumer UX design, simplifying complex financial data into engaging formats. Proven ability to innovate in ambiguous environments while maintaining high standards. Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, balancing regulatory, business, and user needs. Familiarity with the crypto space and hands-on experience with crypto products, including on-chain activities. Excellent communication skills to influence strategic decisions and align with senior stakeholders. Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment. Job# P75681 Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range from $180,370 to $212,200 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity participation, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
