About the Role Join Oracle's Health Data Intelligence (HDI) team as a Lead Software Engineer (IC4) and lead the charge in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and innovation of our cutting-edge analytics platform infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you'll architect and develop systems that facilitate healthcare analytics across diverse cloud environments. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create impactful solutions that deliver business intelligence, reporting, and critical insights for healthcare leaders on a global scale. Required Skills Infrastructure & Reliability: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing high-availability infrastructure, focusing on fault tolerance and performance tuning. Data Technologies: In-depth knowledge of Vertica, Data Warehousing Platforms, including expertise in columnar storage/analytics and ETL frameworks. BI & Reporting: Practical experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics) for generating actionable insights. DevOps/SRE Practices: Proficient in automation, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana). Cloud Ecosystems: Strong understanding of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Oracle Cloud) with an emphasis on cost-effective scalability and compliance. Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to resolve production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, mentor team members, and contribute to long-term technical strategies. Programming & Tools: Solid background in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go and expertise in containerization (Docker) and cloud-native scripting. Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure for the Oracle HDI Analytics Platform with a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and performance. Develop and refine scalable data pipelines using Vertica for columnar storage and analytics, alongside effective ETL processes for data management. Improve integration with Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Oracle Analytics) to extract valuable insights from complex data sets. Promote DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices: Automate deployments, monitor system health with Prometheus/Grafana, and set up CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Jenkins, or Kubernetes. Collaborate across multi-cloud ecosystems (AWS, Oracle Cloud, On-Prem) to ensure platform compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to healthcare compliance standards. Proactively troubleshoot production issues, performing root-cause analysis and driving continuous improvements in system reliability. Guide junior engineers, contribute to technical roadmaps, and stay current with emerging technologies in data warehousing and cloud-native architectures. What We're Looking For Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles. Deep knowledge of data warehousing and ETL frameworks. Hands-on experience with BI/reporting tools and analytics platforms; familiarity with Oracle HDI or similar healthcare data systems is advantageous. Strong proficiency in cloud technologies: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring/observability stacks. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering reliable systems at scale in dynamic environments. A passion for healthcare innovation and a collaborative mindset. Salary Information: US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. You may be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains a broad salary range for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations.
