Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details:• Provide nursing care in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting• Maintain 2:1 patient ratio during days, nights, and weekends• Minimal call required on weekends depending on departmental needs• Complete 32 hours of orientation• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics• Daily census of approximately 15 patients• Work with 6 PACU bays, 14 preop/phase 2 bays, 4 operating rooms, and 1 endo procedure room• Handle procedures including urology, general surgery, robotics, gynecology, ENT, orthopedics, plastic surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, and GI procedures• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)• California RN license required• 2 years of nursing experience required• Epic charting system experience preferred• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing• Nursys verification within last 2 weeks required• 7-year work history verification required• Two references from within the last year required• Complete facility-specific modules during orientation (non-billable hours) Facility:This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive perioperative department with multiple operating rooms and specialized procedure areas. The facility provides a full range of surgical services including robotics, general surgery, specialty procedures, and endoscopy services.
