Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage the endtoend handling of workers' compensation claims. This role focuses on delivering timely and accurate claim decisions through thorough investigation, evaluation, and resolution. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, legal resources, and medical professionals to ensure claims are handled fairly, compliantly, and in alignment with organizational goals. Work model: Hybrid Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM What you will do: Conduct comprehensive investigations by gathering statements, reviewing documentation, interviewing involved parties, and assessing all relevant evidence to determine liability and damages Identify when additional expert services (e.g., independent adjusters, legal counsel, medical case management, environmental services) are needed and coordinate accordingly Monitor and guide thirdparty administrators to ensure adherence to established claimhandling expectations Make recommendations for claim approval or denial within your designated authority Lead settlement discussions with injured workers or claimants to achieve fair and reasonable outcomes Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel on disputed or litigated claims, preparing required documentation and participating in proceedings when necessary Maintain organized, compliant claim files and documentation, including OSHA, DOT, and postincident testing requirements Assess and adjust claim reserves appropriately throughout the lifecycle of the claim Protect company's financial interests by identifying and pursuing subrogation opportunities when applicable What you will need to be successful: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; businessrelated field preferred AIC designation is a plus Minimum 1 year of workers' compensation claims handling required Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and principles across local, state, and federal jurisdictions Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail and urgency.
