Join Our Compassionate Community and Help Us Prioritize Health We are seeking an Associate Director of Actuarial Analytics to be a vital player in our mission to analyze and forecast financial and economic data that supports our strategic and operational goals. In this role, your expertise will be integral in establishing metrics, executing data analyses, and offering critical insights to enhance our business intelligence initiatives. You will leverage your understanding of industry trends and market dynamics to inform our organization's financial outlook and competitive positioning across various timeframes. Your responsibilities will emphasize ensuring data integrity through the development of robust processes and controls. Collaboration with stakeholders will be key as you identify business needs, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analyses to devise innovative solutions for data discrepancies. You will also lead the resolution of complex technical and operational challenges within our teams. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include: Supporting national pricing forecasts and long-term projections Evaluating the drivers behind assumption changes and their effects on financial forecasts Monitoring outcomes to ensure alignment with the objectives of other corporate teams Communicating forecast rationale to senior leadership Owning bid assumptions with comprehensive substantiation support and desk reviews Facilitating the national bid assumption review process Overseeing reporting of emerging claims experience data and assessing actual versus expected discrepancies Use Your Expertise to Make a Meaningful Impact Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) with relevant advanced degrees and extensive work experience Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) Demonstrated leadership experience with a background in team management Proven track record in guiding other human capital leaders Excellent communication skills Experience across multiple functions, including modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving, or trending A passion for enhancing consumer experiences in a continuously improving environment Preferred Qualifications: Visionary mindset with the ability to anticipate business needs and prepare teams for challenges Strong influencing skills to advocate for business initiatives Talent-focused approach that enhances organizational effectiveness and culture High emotional intelligence Comfortable when engaging with senior leaders and across various departments Persuasive communication skills to articulate the trade-offs of business decisions effectively Additional Information: This is a remote position with occasional travel for training or meetings at Humana's offices. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The compensation range reflects an estimated starting salary for full-time roles, which may be adjusted based on location and individual qualifications. $156,600 - $215,400 per year This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on overall performance.
