What You'll Be Doing: As part of our Specialty Risk Team, you will have the unique opportunity to support the shift towards value-based care in Radiology, Cardiology, and Oncology. Your advocacy for creating patient value will ensure that our financial arrangements are both actuarially sound and sustainable. The Actuarial Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing complex business challenges and providing actionable insights that impact organizational decisions and patient health. You will have the chance to influence team culture in a high-growth environment. Your Responsibilities Include: Assisting in the calculation of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) balances for monthly financial closures. Collaborating closely with internal teams to understand their objectives and aid them in solving business questions through statistical analysis, model development, and data reporting. Performing ad hoc analyses to derive data-driven insights that address specific inquiries from leadership and partner organizations. Improving processes to enhance the efficiency of key deliverables. Working across various departments including Clinical, Finance, Accounting, and Analytics to achieve unified objectives. Communicating actuarial concepts effectively within the actuarial department. Being a reliable team member by setting clear expectations and proactively addressing risks. Delivering high-quality, error-free results consistently. The Ideal Candidate: Is eager to tackle challenging projects within a rapidly growing organization. Demonstrates reliability and initiative, excels in ambiguous situations, and effectively manages competing deadlines. Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team objectives. Is detail-oriented and takes ownership of their results. Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. Must be on the Actuarial exam track with at least one exam successfully passed. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in an actuarial role or internship. At least two actuarial exams completed. Experience in IBNR calculations. Familiarity with medical and pharmacy claims. Knowledge of PowerQuery, Power BI, or VBA. Ability to read and write SQL code. The expected base salary for this position is $70,000-$75,000, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
