Join our compassionate community and help prioritize health! The Lead IT Procurement Specialist - Software Renewals will spearhead the software renewal processes across Humana's enterprise. This critical role involves tackling a variety of complex challenges, ensuring software renewals are executed effectively and on time. In this position, you will oversee and guide team members in daily software renewal tasks. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will align business goals with compliance, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and engage in strategic planning and process optimization. Your expert judgment will help ensure supplier compliance and performance are in line with our organizational objectives and cost-saving initiatives. Key Responsibilities Advise on policies, standards, and procedures that align with IT strategies. Maintain a comprehensive renewal calendar and oversee renewal progress until completion. Delegate software renewal tasks to team members within the IT Procurement & Supplier Management department. Analyze software contracts to confirm that licenses are adequately covered and documented. Examine software expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and maximize ROI. Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms, pricing, and compliance. Research and propose strategies for supplier optimization. Evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, goals, risks, and financial stability. Work collaboratively across functions to ensure procurement aligns with organizational strategies. Conduct research, compile data, and utilize reporting tools to streamline information delivery. Adhere to internal procurement policies and external regulations. Apply independent judgment to resolve complex issues related to job tasks and responsibilities. Utilize your skills to make a difference! Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or IT. 8+ years of IT system and/or software procurement experience. 2+ years of experience leading projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Able to analyze and interpret complex data to make informed recommendations. Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities. Accuracy and thoroughness with a focus on process improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction at all organizational levels. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to adapt and learn new skills as required. Preferred Skills Business analysis capabilities to design and implement sourcing strategies that align with business objectives. Additional Information You will report directly to an Associate Director of Software Renewals. This role is focused on individual contribution without managerial responsibilities. This position is fully remote within the U.S., though occasional travel to Humana's offices for meetings or training may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours/week) employment. Pay may vary based on location and individual qualifications. $115,200 - $158,400 per year This role also offers eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
