The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our workforce through efficient resource management and best practices. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Onsite Health Representative (OHR) to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the WHS Site Manager and WHS Specialist, and occasionally with the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). Your responsibilities will include: Participating in weekly associate safety committee meetings. Engaging with new hires through one-on-one interactions and orienting them to our safety practices. Conducting assessments and providing first aid, alongside guiding Amazon Associates (AAs) regarding both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. Referring care to external medical providers as necessary. Maintaining meticulous records of care provided to AAs. Coordinating workers' compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries. Delivering daily activity logs and end of shift reports. Coaching AAs on at-risk work habits directly on the operations floor. Keeping a clean and well-stocked working environment for medical supplies. Delivering training in first aid, CPR, and AED classes. Maintaining first aid, CPR, and AED certifications. Working flexible shifts that may include days, nights, holidays, or weekends. Assisting with random saliva drug testing protocols. Responding effectively in emergencies and supporting site emergency response efforts. Additional Job Elements include: Lifting up to 49 pounds and performing physical activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching. Standing or walking for up to 12 hours during your shift. Working in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures. Climbing and descending stairs frequently if applicable to the site. For applicants without a current adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, you must obtain this within 3 weeks of your start date. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider. Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) OR Current Active Athletic Trainer Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent State Certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with an industrial wellness program. Background in managing musculoskeletal disorders and coaching on body mechanics. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation. Experience with digital recordkeeping. Six months of job experience in the Military as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician within the last year. As part of our compensation package, we offer a competitive salary range of $27.00 to $33.00 USD hourly, as well as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
