Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.As a Machinist, you’ll perform setup, manual operations on a variety of machining equipment.What you’ll do : Machine products to tight tolerancesReads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performedVerifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometersComputes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work piecesAdjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operatorsParticipates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirementsWork independently and as a team to achieve maximum qualityCompute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracyObserving all applicable safety practicesCarries out other duties as assigned Requirements: Previous or current knowledge and experience with manual machine tools operationsExperienced with operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers)Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawingsProficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand toolsAbility to lift up to 50lbs without assistanceAbility to stand for extended periods of time Preferred characteristics: VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience preferredHigh degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precisionAbility to follow both written and verbal instructions Benefits that make life better: Comprehensive Healthcare401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning & Training opportunities #LI-KC1#LI-KC1
