Position Overview We are in search of a dedicated and seasoned professional to fill the role of Lead Supply Chain Strategy Manager. In this essential position, you will strategically plan within the Commercial Supply Chain, ensuring products are readily available in our stringent regulatory environment. Your efforts will optimize inventory management, improve forecasting accuracy, and ensure timely supply to fulfill both patient requirements and business objectives. Additionally, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and enhancement of our supply chain systems and processes while supporting the commercialization of clinical product candidates. Key Responsibilities Oversee comprehensive supply chain management, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and supplier relations for both commercial and late-stage clinical products. Develop and maintain precise demand forecasts, factoring in market trends, promotional activities, and regulatory considerations. Leverage market intelligence to streamline business processes and system management. Work in conjunction with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to seamlessly integrate new product launches into forecasts and lifecycle strategies. Continuously monitor and enhance forecast accuracy through advanced analytics and improvement initiatives. Implement data analytics that promote informed decision-making. Devise and execute supply plans in harmony with forecasts, production capabilities, and inventory goals. Identify and mitigate supply risks, addressing capacity constraints and regulatory challenges. Manage supplier relationships as a Strategic Business Relationship Manager, ensuring compliance with supply agreements. Oversee financial commitments and legal contracts in alignment with the company’s authority matrix. Lead strategic discussions with contract manufacturing partners. Direct cross-functional teams in managing critical supplier relationships. Contribute to the development and execution of Product Strategies through Supply Chain inputs. Own data-driven risk assessments and communicate escalations to management clearly. Support various supply chain projects, prioritizing efficiency in systems and processes. Collaborate with R&D, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Commercial, and Quality teams to aid the commercialization of clinical candidates. Participate actively in the Sales & Operations Planning process to ensure coordinated efforts across relevant groups. Contribute to Supply Chain Governance forums. Strive for cost-effective supply chain systems and processes. Evaluate prospective suppliers and present insightful recommendations to management. Lead global supply chain projects as required. Advocate for best practices across the supply and distribution organization. Ensure adherence to all operational activities while maintaining budget control. Core Competencies Substantial experience in supply chain and distribution management, particularly in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated contexts. Established track record in global supply chain strategy and supplier management. Exceptional relationship-building skills with internal and external partners. Expertise in navigating regulatory and technical transitions while evaluating business and financial implications. Adept negotiation abilities to engage with suppliers and stakeholders effectively. Strong financial sensibility and budget management capabilities. Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in ERP systems, particularly in planning and inventory management. Comprehensive knowledge of GMP manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs related to biological and small molecule pharmaceuticals. Demonstrated leadership in process enhancement initiatives and stakeholder collaboration. Robust organizational abilities with thorough understanding of supply chain optimization. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline. 8-12 years of pertinent supply chain experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry (6-8 years with a Master's degree). 3-5 years of expertise in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. The base salary for this position ranges from $144,960 to $181,200, supported by a comprehensive benefits package that includes eligibility for a merit-based salary increase, participation in a short incentive plan, and access to 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Additional benefits include unlimited paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and extra time off during our end-of-year shut-down period.
