Job Description

Primary Purpose: As a Radiology Supervisor specializing in Breast Services, you will oversee, organize, and coordinate both the clinical and technical aspects of services. Your leadership will ensure that timely and high-quality services are provided to our patients. Education: You must be a graduate of an accredited imaging program in one of the following areas: Radiography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography. A Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare field is preferred. Experience: We require at least four (4) years of progressive responsibility in Radiology operations. Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of procedures, workflow management, quality assurance, and general operational troubleshooting. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus. Certification/Registration/Licensure: If hired in Mammography, certification is required through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography or registration from ARDMS with a subspecialty in Breast Sonography. Additionally, certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) from the Texas Department of State Health Services or Texas Medical Board is necessary. A current Healthcare Provider (BLS Level) CPR certification from an accepted provider is also required. Key Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of Radiology operations, evidenced by your grasp of workflow and staff logistics. Excellent time management skills with a track record of managing multiple projects and assignments. Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and verbal/written communication, along with good phone etiquette. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and improve process flow for enhanced patient care. Responsibilities: Serve as a leader and expert in designated modalities. Assist in staff selection, training, and supervision for optimal utilization of team capabilities. Implement operational practices that yield effective and efficient services, fostering optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with medical staff and administration to evaluate and improve service quality. Analyze work processes to enact appropriate changes that enhance productivity and patient access. Monitor department compliance with policies, laws, and safety standards. Participate in direct patient care as necessary, ensuring all imaging protocols are followed and patient needs are met. Identify supply needs and maintain inventory to support operational efficiency. Actively engage in departmental meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
