Description Preference will be given to candidates located within commuting distance of a Linde facility. However, Linde will also consider candidates located more than 50 miles from a facility for a remote work arrangement. Candidates within commuting distance should expect some on-site requirements. Position Summary: Reporting to the Associate Director, Fleet Equipment, the Manager of Fleet Equipment serves as a key individual contributor responsible for the performance, maintenance, lifecycle management, and operational readiness of Linde's tractor fleet. This position manages a Capex budget of approximately 35million in 2026. Ensure that tractors are specified, procured, deployed, maintained, and decommissioned in alignment with LGUS operational, financial, and safety objectives. Primary Responsibilities: Manage budget to capex request annually with quantity of tractors being purchased or leased Purchase and deploy tractor upfit supplies to the upfitters to match tractor's delivery and shipment schedule Work with OEM to get trucks serviced at the dealers in a timely manner Oversee claim warranty reimbursement where applicable Offer technical assistance to regions and sites when repairs are needed outside of their knowledge base Advise procurement on annual spec of tractors and bidding of OEM suppliers for selected number of tractors Advise procurement when new tractors should be added to lease schedule Generate, collect, and maintain equipment profile data ensuring EAM is the single source of equipment related data Administer tracking for new tractors Assist as needed with work order entry for Third-Party tractor repairs. Assist in RCA events around safety/operational tractor issues Regularly reviews tractor hours and miles reports to evaluate utilization of assigned tractors to plants/recommends based on data trends Use tractor hours and miles report to determine replacements needed upcoming year Manages lease end dates/avoids duplicate costs Assist maintenance personnel with Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance workorder entry Manage/dispute turn in costs invoiced to Linde by leasing company Work with sites to decommission tractors - owned tractors to asset recovery for sale or turn in paperwork to leasing company to stop leases Actively assist in locating hard to find parts or warranty parts issues Identifies cost savings opportunities Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years relevant distribution experience, 5 of which should be managing fleet operations (>25 tractor/trailers) Demonstrated understanding of tractor maintenance processes, diagnostics, and repair standards, power train, emission systems, electronic control systems, trailer loading/unloading Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with field maintenance, operations leadership, drivers, OEMs, and thirdparty vendors. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Travel requirements up to 25%.
