As a Field Sales Executive for Wolters Kluwer Research & Advisory, your primary objective will be to drive profitable sales growth while providing temporary coverage in various accounting firms and corporations. You will play a vital role in exceeding sales goals and reporting directly to the VP of Field Sales - Tax & Accounting, North America - Research & Advisory. Below are the key responsibilities and expectations: Key Responsibilities Master Product Knowledge: Acquire in-depth expertise in Research & Advisory and Tax & Accounting products, encompassing features, benefits, pricing, and competitive positioning through structured training and self-guided learning. Execute the Sales Process: Utilize the prescribed sales methodology to effectively position products and services in alignment with customer needs and business goals. Manage and Grow Accounts: Develop a healthy sales pipeline by prioritizing accounts, researching decision-makers, and maintaining accurate CRM records on Salesforce.com. Drive New Business Development: Meet sales targets through proactive prospecting, scheduling client meetings, attending industry events, and delivering impactful presentations to generate interest and close deals. Retain and Expand Existing Business: Engage with current clients to understand their evolving needs, reinforce the value of existing solutions, and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities. Apply a Consultative Sales Strategy: Build robust relationships and provide customized solutions by thoroughly assessing customer needs, promoting long-term satisfaction and loyalty. Support Product Development: Identify gaps in current offerings, collaborate with product teams to incorporate client feedback, and manage expectations regarding product enhancements. Increase Market Share: Target competitive accounts and engage stakeholders effectively to uncover challenges and present WK solutions as strategic answers. Optimize Time and Resources: Plan and organize sales activities efficiently to maximize productivity and client coverage. Collaborate Across Teams: Share insights and strategies with colleagues and engage constructively with sales leadership to resolve account conflicts. Develop Strategic Plans: Create and maintain an Annual Business Plan with accurate pipeline forecasts and regular updates. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience Experience: Minimum of 3 years of internal WK sales experience with Tax content/SaaS or software products, or relevant experience in the Tax & Accounting industry. Successful track record in developing and qualifying prospect lists, meeting or exceeding sales quotas, creating and executing business plans, and delivering tailored solutions using a consultative sales approach. Ability to convert networking contacts into viable business opportunities and deliver engaging product presentations aligned with client needs. Preferred Experience: Proven success in inside or virtual sales roles. 5+ years of B2B sales or account management experience, ideally with software/SaaS applications. Acknowledgment for top performance in the form of sales achievement awards. Experience navigating multi-divisional organizations and working across various sales channels. Familiarity with Tax and/or Accounting concepts and terminology. Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Formal sales training (e.g., Challenger Sales or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Flexibility to work extended hours as required. Strong facilitation and influencing skills. Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel for client visits and team meetings, with minimal overnight stays (1-2 times per quarter). Compensation: $85,600.00 - $149,400.00 USD. This role is eligible for commission. The compensation offer will take into account factors like skills, experience, and hiring location details.
