Overview Cayuse Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC (Cayuse) is a proud tribally-owned enterprise committed to serving U.S. federal and military customers. As we look to innovate within the drone assembly and manufacturing sector, we are excited to welcome a motivated Consultant. This role will be key in refining our plans to establish a scalable, efficient, and compliant drone manufacturing line. Working closely with our team and subcontractors, you will help us evaluate the existing business case, identify gaps, and uncover opportunities for improvement. This position is critical in formulating actionable strategies designed to enhance operations, streamline workflows, and prepare us to efficiently scale production to meet the growing demands of federal customers. Responsibilities Your Contributions Review and enhance the existing business case: Analyze the current business plan with a focus on project goals, resource allocation, and proposed workflows. Identify risks and inefficiencies, providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Manufacturing Strategy Enhancement: Evaluate and optimize assembly workflows for improved efficiency and scalability. Advise on production performance metrics, quality assurance processes, and resolving operational bottlenecks. Compliance and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing, packaging, and shipping processes. Supply Chain and Vendor Assessment: Analyze vendor relationships and recommend strategies for more efficient and cost-effective supply chains. Process Optimization and Documentation: Refine current processes to identify lean manufacturing opportunities while implementing continuous improvement practices. Additive Manufacturing: Guide leadership on advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies to enhance production efficiency, incorporating Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies. Deliverables Gap analysis and enhancement recommendations for the current business strategy. Updated documentation of workflows and operational strategies to reflect improvements. Risk mitigation strategies for compliance and production scaling. A thorough report detailing actionable recommendations for refining facilities processes. Sustainable energy integration in operations to align with green manufacturing goals. Documentation supporting ISO certification audit readiness in quality and information security standards. Qualifications What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and strategic planning. Proven expertise in business plan evaluation and risk assessment. In-depth knowledge of workflow analysis, supply chain logistics, and operational optimization. Familiarity with federal government contracting and compliance best practices. Strong understanding of additive manufacturing, particularly in aerospace or defense applications. Knowledge of drone technologies and federal procurement standards. U.S. Citizenship is required due to client facility regulations, and passing a background check is mandatory. Minimum Skills: Detail-oriented, analytical abilities with strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with outstanding organizational skills. Effective time management and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel). Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management. Experience with tribal or minority-owned organizations in federal contracting. Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma or PMP are preferred. Reports to: Company Managing Director Working Conditions Professional remote work environment with flexible scheduling as needed to meet client requirements. Consultants are responsible for their own equipment; no office space or supplies provided by Cayuse. Expected travel may be required for business purposes. Engagement Duration: 3 to 5 months, with the potential for ongoing advisory support as the manufacturing line establishes and scales.
