Coverage includes University Hospitals located in the Southwestern Medical District, with more than 800 beds and 75+ anesthetizing locations, representing all major specialties of careMost importantly, a cohesive and supportive team and local CRNA leadership at each site of serviceProgressive schedule provides predictability, PTO maximization, as well as opportunities for extra-incomeMinimal call requirementsAdvance Practice Providers Incentive program (up to $10,000/yr)Specialty Team Bonus ($15,000/yr)$2,500 continuing educational fundPublic Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Qualified EmployerExperience and Education Must be graduate of accredited school of nursing, licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse, and graduate of school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA).Licensure as Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas and has passed qualifying examination administered by the national Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required for certification as nurse anesthetist.Must also be registered by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas as Nurse Anesthetist.Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through course accredited by the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross reNo experience required.Job DutiesPrepares and administers anesthetic agents to patients to desensitize them to permit performance of medical or surgical procedures.Performs pre-anesthesia evaluation of patient to ascertain physiological and psychological factors which influence selection of anesthetic agent and formulation of plan of anesthetic management.Monitors patient in operating room to maintain patient in homeostatic condition and to ensure unnecessary injuries are not inflicted on patient.Records anesthetic information on anesthesia chart to provide permanent record necessary for care of patient, material for teaching and studies, and to establish medical-legal record.Provides clinical supervision or guidance to anesthesia students, paramedical and medical students to contribute to their clinical training.Other Duties as assigned.
