Structural Field Inspector

Structural Field Inspector Location: Hammond, Indiana Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We’re looking for a Structural Field Inspector to join our team supporting heavy industrial manufacturing facilities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting structural assets, identifying deficiencies, and documenting findings to ensure safety and compliance. You’ll work directly in the field performing detailed inspections, capturing digital documentation, and preparing reports that are reviewed by engineering staff before submission to clients. What You’ll Be Doing Perform inspections on: Overhead cranes and crane runways Building structures (columns, roof trusses) Walking/working surfaces Concrete structures Below-the-hook lifting devices Other structural components within industrial facilities Identify and document deficiencies Record findings using a tablet and capture digital photos Upload inspection data into an internal database Assist in assembling reports for engineering review and client submission Operate manlifts as required What We’re Looking For 1–3 years of experience in a similar role (Structural Field Inspector, Overhead Crane Inspector/Technician, or NDT Technician)
