Quick Job Summary Role: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Critical Care Nurse (Travel) Location: Seguin, TX 78155 (Guadalupe River area) Setting: Acute Care – Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9-bed unit Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 3 shifts/week Contract: Travel RN assignment, 8 weeks (Mar 6, 2026 – May 1, 2026) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1770/week Job Details Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled Patient Ratio: Typical 1:2 (may be 1:1 or 1:3 based on acuity) EMR / Systems: MediTech Expanse preferred; Pyxis for medication documentation Qualifications & Certifications Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required — experienced ICU RN / critical care nurse Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license accepted where applicable) Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; PALS preferred (may be obtained onsite if available) Strong critical thinking, independent practice, and assessment skills in critical care Ability to float to Medical, Surgical, IPRU, and ER units as needed Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients in a busy 9-bed ICU Manage and titrate multiple drips and ventilator support (experience with Avea vents a plus) Care for a range of diagnoses including pneumonia, sepsis, acute respiratory failure (ARF), CHF, COPD, cardiac events, and post-cath lab patients Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Document patient care accurately using MediTech Expanse and Pyxis systems Float to other units and provide task-based support as required Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards Why This Travel RN Opportunity Work as a critical care travel nurse in a supportive, close-knit hospital environment Opportunity to expand ICU RN skills across a variety of critical care diagnoses and equipment Experience Texas nursing jobs in Seguin with access to outdoor recreation and community amenities Apply now to join this ICU travel nurse assignment in Seguin, TX.
