Nurse Practitioner | Cardiology - General/Other Location: Maryland Employer: Barton Associates Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a dedicated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, commencing Jun 1, 2026. This inpatient role involves comprehensive cardiology care, including daily rounds on cardiology and step-down patients, managing progress notes, ordering tests, and performing new consults alongside attending cardiologists. The schedule focuses on inpatient service, providing a dynamic environment to apply your expertise. Responsibilities and Duties See patients in the inpatient service Round daily on cardiology and step-down patients Write progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consults, and discharges Order medications, tests, and procedures as appropriate Perform new consults alongside attending cardiologists Manage general cardiology cases Perform Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) Perform cardioversion procedures Additional Information Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) EMR System: Epic Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
