The Accounting Generalist will support our payroll and accounts receivable functions This position will report to the Senior Accountant.Job Responsibilities: Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the HRIS; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, holidays, deductions and withholdings, and other information. Inputs data for the processing of bi-weekly payroll, reviews data against supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy and transmits completed payroll records to UKG for processing. Manages the weekly timesheet process by ensuring that timecards have been completed and approved properly and timely. Verifies hours worked, paid time off, deductions, and pay adjustments. Processes the labor reallocations in accordance with company policy Creates and maintains weekly/bi-weekly/monthly reports used by management for payroll and time analysis. Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts. Responding to information requests and assisting with audits. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered. At least three years of accounts receivable and/or payroll experience in a professional services firm preferred. Outstanding customer/client service and interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly communicate in both written and oral form with professionals in the firm and with clients. Exceptional attention to detail. Understanding of accounting processes and procedures for payroll, billing, and collections. Deadline-driven with excellent time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple competing priorities. Ability to self-manage and work independently in a hybrid or in office setting. Other Requirements: Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check. Ability to pass a pre-employment screening. The compensation range for this position is between $24/hour to $31/hour. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
