Assignment Details 10-week contract; typical assignment includes carrying 2 patients; average daily census 7. Requirements - Minimum 2 years critical care experience - BLS and ACLS certifications required - GA or Compact license in hand at submittal - Epic charting experience preferred - Community, LTAC, or trauma exposure preferred - Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred at time of submittal Roles & Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and post-op vascular patients. - Monitor and manage various cardiac devices, including LVADs and temporary pacemakers. - Administer medications and manage sedation/paralytic treatments as needed. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during daily rounds. - Ensure proper management of arterial and central lines, as well as blood products. - Participate in patient education and family support. Compliance / Notes - Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by ~2 weeks. - Compliance document deadline: Tuesday prior to start. - RTO maximum of 7 days; blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4-12). - COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). - Orientation hours tied to contract length; modules completed during orientation.
