Individual should strive to create a healing environment that respects the perspectives and experiences of the individuals, families, staff and communities we serve by practicing safe, respectful communication as well as respecting individuals’ boundaries and differences.Essential Job Functions Prepare and process all invoices from vendors and staff, including proper coding and allocation of expenses Ensure validity of expenses, proper documentation and authorization Match purchase orders to invoices Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms Audit and process credit card bills Process check requests Match invoices to check, obtain all necessary signatures and distribute checks accordingly Effectively handle all communication with vendors and staff to maintain strong working relationships Monitor all accounts to ensure tax exempt status and exemption from late fees Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies Maintain contract files and vendor insurance information Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with policy and accepted accounting practices Other Prepare documentation required for internal and third-party audits as assigned Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable regulations Assist other finance department staff as needed Ensure the safe and secure retention of historical accounting data Experience, Education, & Physical QualificationsAssociate’s degree in accounting or two years of accounts payable or accounting/bookkeeping experience required or any combination of education and/or experience providing the necessary skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.KnowledgeDemonstrated proficiency in the principles, procedures, and practices of general accounting and accounts payable; general practices and principles of office management, procedures, systems, and equipment, especially those related to computerized accounting procedures.
