We are seeking a CAD Designer to support engineering and manufacturing teams by creating and maintaining accurate technical drawings and 3D models. This role supports product development, documentation, and manufacturing initiatives while working closely with engineering, production, quality, and sales teams to ensure designs are clearly documented and manufacturable. Responsibilities: Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software, communicate revisions to stakeholders, and generate inspection sheets and documentation for components and assemblies used in manufacturing. Partner with manufacturing to develop and maintain routings and bills of materials that align with current production best practices. Create new part numbers and develop custom designs and drawings to support sales and customer-specific orders. Generate documentation required to implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and review, research, and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). Provide technical support to internal teams, assist with identifying parts and materials for production, and help troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes. Evaluate incoming RFQs for manufacturability and technical feasibility and reverse engineer customer parts by measuring components and producing sketches and drawings. Requirements: Associate degree in Mechanical Design or Engineering Technology required, bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of experience generating detailed mechanical engineering drawings, including experience with ECNs and producing manufacturing drawings to ANSI Y14.1 and Y14.5 standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints and proficiency with SolidWorks for creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D mechanical drawings. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement techniques used in manufacturing. Experience with MRP or ERP systems for generating BOMs and routings (Infor XA Powerlink is a plus).
