Introduction in cooperation with Spartanburg Community College is assisting with the recruitment and training for Aerowerks Corporation of America Aerowerks Corporation of America is locating a new manufacturing facility in Cherokee County. Potential employment opportunities exist for: Trainee Welder/Fitter/PolisherJob Duties: Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication plans TIG weld product to Aerowerks standards (training will be provided) Grind, polish, and finish stainless-steel surfaces to Aerowerks standards (training will be provided) Required to travel within the U.S. for final installation of equipment at job sites as a condition of this position Required to learn finishing techniques as a condition of this position and advance to welder/polisher position Must be prepared to work in other areas and departments in the facility if asked to do so Basic Requirements: Basic experience with hand tools, grinders etc. Ability to read blueprints and work independently if needed Must be enthusiastic, flexible, punctual and ready to learn A certification or some experience in TIG welding is an advantage Benefits: 70% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance Optional coverage for spouses and dependents 10 paid public holidays per year Paid time off Supportive team environment Opportunities for skill development and advancement Location: Gaffney, SC Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Position: Full-time Wage: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Computer access available at Spartanburg SC Works office -111 Tiffany Park Circle, Gaffney, SC 29341 or your nearest SC Works office Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. An Equal Opportunity EmployerPlease include a resume with your application.
