Job Description

Overview The Security Analyst I is responsible for supporting and advancing Cavender's enterprise cybersecurity posture across corporate, retail store, and cloud environments. This role monitors security systems, investigates alerts, performs vulnerability management, supports compliance initiatives, and contributes to the continuous improvement of the company's security program. The Security Analyst I partners closely with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Application teams to ensure security is embedded into daily operations, new technology deployments, and long-term strategic initiatives. This role plays a key part in strengthening Cavender's security maturity while protecting company, customer, and associate data. Duties and Responsibilities Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive the Mission, Vision and Values Monitor and respond to alerts generated by security tools including EDR/XDR, SIEM, email security, firewalls, and cloud security platforms Investigate and document security incidents and coordinate escalation and remediation efforts as needed Assist in maintaining and testing incident response procedures and participate in post-incident reviews Support endpoint protection and security controls across corporate and retail environments Conduct vulnerability scans across internal, external, cloud, and retail systems Analyze vulnerability findings and track remediation efforts with responsible IT teams Maintain vulnerability and risk tracking processes with defined remediation timelines Perform periodic access reviews and assist with privileged account oversight Provide risk analysis summaries to support leadership reporting Support secure configuration and monitoring of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and other SaaS platforms Monitor identity security alerts including MFA, conditional access, and account risk events Assist in securing third-party integrations and cloud resources while supporting least-privilege access principles Support security controls across Cavender's retail store network environments including POS systems and endpoints Ensure patch compliance and security updates across distributed systems Partner with Infrastructure and Network teams to maintain segmentation and secure connectivity Assist with compliance initiatives including PCI-DSS and internal governance standards Support vendor security reviews and third-party risk assessments Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies and standards Support security awareness initiatives across the organization Identify opportunities to automate security processes and improve operational efficiency Develop scripts, dashboards, or reporting tools to improve visibility and reporting Assist in deployment and lifecycle management of security tools Stay informed on emerging threats and evolving cybersecurity best practices Provide security guidance during infrastructure changes, system upgrades, and new deployments Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent work experience 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, network engineering, or a related technical field Understanding of network and infrastructure security concepts across on-premises and cloud environments Experience with vulnerability management practices and remediation tracking Familiarity with endpoint protection, SIEM, and identity security tools Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud-based systems Understanding of information security best practices and risk management principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive information responsibly Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Must be based in the East Texas area or willing to relocate to Tyler, TX Preferred Skills Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CEH, or Microsoft Security certifications Experience supporting security in retail or multi-location environments Experience with cloud security monitoring and identity management platforms Experience building dashboards or automation tools to support security reporting and operational efficiency Cavender's is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
