Job Description

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER Biweekly Hours: 80.00 Shift: 8-5 Monday through Friday, as well as weekend services oversight The MetroHealth System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the foundations of community health and well-being: affordable housing, a cleaner environment, economic opportunity and access to fresh food, convenient transportation, legal help and other services. Summary: Ensures the provision of high quality, culturally sensitive, nursing/patient care in accordance with evidence-based practice, current research, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics for the assigned clinical areas. Ensures development, ongoing enhancement and implementation of Nursing education programs, performance improvement initiatives, research, and professional development within assigned clinical areas. Forms partnerships within nursing and other disciplines to encourage excellence in service and patient care. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. Qualifications: Required:Graduate of an approved program of nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.Master's degree in a health-related field or obtains equivalent or higher within 3 years of hire.Minimum of seven years progressively responsible for nursing. Managerial/administrative experience including skill in budget and cost analysis.Proven leadership, clinical competence, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self development.Magnet recognized certification in clinical specialty or in nursing administration (e.g., CNML or NE/NEA-BC).Reliable transportation to travel to ambulatory sites.Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Preferred:None.Physical Demands:May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.Ability to read job related documents.Ability to use computer.
