Job Type Full-time Description Delivery Driver Delivery Driver Department: Material Management Reports To: Shipping Manager Employee Type: Non-Exempt FT $20.00 per hour to $24.00 per hour Description Delivery Drivers are responsible for local and long-distance driving company vehicle with a capacity of more than 3 tons to deliver and pick up loads of finished product, goods, materials and paper stock. This position must maintain, clean, inspect and operate the Company truck and van. When not operating a company vehicle, they provide support with shipping/receiving functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Load, transport and deliver items to clients or businesses locally or out-of-state in a safe, timely manner • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, in good condition, and meet weight requirements • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients • Adhere to assigned routes and following time schedules • Abide by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record • Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries • Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc. • Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
