Schedule 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Alternative shifts could be 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Job Description The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform quality control on nuclear medicine equipment, engage in troubleshooting and maintenance, and ensure all procedures are in compliance with established guidelines. In collaboration with physicians, the technologist will document operations, manage radioactive materials, and provide clinical instruction to radiology students and residents. ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment. Document all laboratory operations and ensure proper receipt and disposition of radioactive materials. Provide clinical instructions for Radiology students and residents. Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, physicians, nurses, and patients. Stay updated with developments and advancements in the nuclear medicine field. Adhere to applicable state/federal laws and accreditation requirements. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 24 months current experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from the Texas Medical Board. Current ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT within 6 months of hire. Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines. Experience operating Gamma cameras, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners.
