Now Hiring: Foreclosure Specialist in San Diego, CALocation: Onsite for approx. 6 weeks of training and then option to work hybrid Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm during training Pay: $25.00-$27.00/hour Contract: 3 months with potential for conversion We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Specialist to join a well established mortgage servicing organization in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in mortgage servicing, foreclosure or post foreclosure workflows, property preservation, evictions, and familiarity with FHA requirements. This role involves reviewing, processing, and routing foreclosure related actions while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and timeline requirements. Responsibilities: Manage and track a high volume of foreclosure, default, and post foreclosure tasks within required timeframes. Review documentation to determine status, next steps, and appropriate routing in the foreclosure workflow. Coordinate property preservation, inspection orders, occupancy checks, and maintenance for delinquent or foreclosed properties. Support eviction processes by preparing required documents, monitoring timelines, and communicating with involved vendors or departments. Review borrower loan files, case histories, and investor/insurer requirements (FHA/VA/USDA/Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac). Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents before forwarding to attorneys, foreclosure firms, or internal teams. Communicate professionally with internal departments to clarify discrepancies, obtain missing information, or resolve issues. Maintain compliance with federal, state, investor, and insurer guidelines throughout the foreclosure process. Track pending items and follow up to ensure all steps are completed within regulatory timelines. Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive borrower and property information. Adapt quickly to changes in volume, timelines, and evolving investor regulations. Qualifications: Mortgage servicing experience required. Foreclosure or post foreclosure experience required. Property preservation and eviction experience required. FHA loan experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with investor/insurer guidelines (FHA, VA, USDA, GSEs). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret foreclosure related documentation. Excellent written communication and email management skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and urgency. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage high volumes of incoming tasks in a repetitive, deadline-driven environment. If you meet the requirements, please apply today.
