Position: Optical Assembly Technician Location: Marietta, GA Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm Pay: $18/hr Job Type: Direct Hire Job Summary This role supports daily production by assembling, finishing, and inspecting optical frames, sunglasses, and reading glasses for one of our manufacturing clients. The position works closely with production and quality teams to ensure precise assembly, consistent product quality, and on-time manufacturing output. Responsibilities • Assemble eyewear frames and components including fitting, cutting, and adjustments • Insert lenses into frames using proper tools and techniques based on frame material and design • Polish frames using polishing wheels and specialized compounds to achieve the correct finish • Operate lens edging equipment to shape lenses to frame specifications • Print or laser product information and logos onto frames and components • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process for defects, alignment, and finish quality • Ensure finished eyewear meets optical specifications and quality standards • Identify imperfections in frames, lenses, or finishes before products move to the next production stage • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in a production environment • Cross-train in additional assembly or manufacturing processes as production needs evolve • Work with team members to maintain production flow and meet daily output goals Must Haves • Experience in an optical lab, optician role, eyewear manufacturing, or precision assembly environment • Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small, detailed components • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or workshop environment • Comfortable using hand tools, machines, or precision equipment • High attention to detail with the ability to identify small defects or inconsistencies • Ability to stand for extended periods in a production environment • Ability to lift and move materials typical of a light manufacturing setting Preferred Skills • Experience assembling optical frames or working with eyewear products • Experience operating polishing equipment or lens edging machines • Experience with laser printing or product marking equipment • Experience in precision manufacturing, technical assembly, or optical lab environments #ZR
