Hiring Manager: PAUL GEISTHARDT Summary The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the Polysilicon and Chemicals Testing area, maximizing the reliability, availability, and performance of lab equipment and building support systems (including HVAC, cleanrooms, utilities). This role focuses on preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to minimize downtime and operational excellence. This role requires a strong sense of urgency, technical expertise, and collaboration across multiple groups and with vendors. Essential FunctionsEnsures availability of physical assets Drives recovery from upsets Monitors, reports, and responds to defined reliability KPIs Verifies the effectiveness of preventive maintenance. Reviews technical findings and adjusts long-term plans accordingly Assure BOMs and necessary preventive maintenance programs are accurately entered for equipment Leads Level 0-1 root cause investigations Participates in project and Management of Change reliability reviews Strategic review of equipment - understand criticality and provide input to ensure building and lab equipment stays current, and has sufficient capacity to support and conduct testing Responsible for troubleshooting malfunctions and assessing if equipment can be repaired or needs to be replaced Supports the definition and implementation of maintenance and reliability improvement projects within defined workflows Adhering to all safety and performance regulations Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, piping and heating/cooling systems Skills and Behaviors Engineering Technology Business Requirements Analysis Verbal Communication Data Collection and Analysis Data Control Health and Safety Policy and Regulation Review and Reporting Risk Management Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Certification RequirementsRequired Work Experience 3 years of experience within manufacturing or engineering organization Physical Requirements Standing - Frequent (51-75%) Sitting - Frequent (51-75%) Walking - Frequent (50-75%) Hand Movement - Frequent (51-75%) Repetition - Frequent (51-75%) The range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, variable bonus, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
