Job Description Organizational Summary: The University of South Florida Office of Graduate Studies serves as the center of leadership for graduate education at the University of South Florida. Goals Strive to enhance the academic experience and the quality of life for graduate students. Provide support to departments/schools and colleges through programs/initiatives designed to assist in the recruitment of high-caliber graduate students and foster graduate student success. Incorporate academic procedures and policies that allow for students' success and smooth transition to becoming alumni. Support graduate student research by offering opportunities to present their research and providing fellowships for dissertation research and international conference travel. Support and enhance the academic experience of postdoctoral scholars. Assist in domestic and international recruitment, enrollment, and retention of graduate students that reflect diversity. Position Summary: Customer service and administrative support for the daily operations of Graduate Studies St. Petersburg. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Advise students on certificate program applications Scan documents to the student files Assist with marketing and promotion efforts Assist with event programming Respond to general office inquiries via phone, email, and Teams Greets walk-in guests in the reception area of the Piano Man building for Graduate Studies and USF World Prepare mailings and document pick up Greeting visitors and directing them as necessary to the appropriate staff person and occasionally, to other departments Maintain confidentiality Answering telephones, forwarding calls and taking messages Assisting staff on completion of routine and non-routine projects Scanning and/or verifying documents imaged and indexed by others Conducting research as requested Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must possess strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work independently and prioritize, good follow-up skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Products. Veteran status also applies to this position.
