Oral Surgery Assistant- Outpatient Clinic- Full Time

Department: Oral Surgery Schedule: Full-time days: Monday - Friday Location: Detroit, MI Assists the oral surgeon during medical procedures. Responsibilities: Assists in preparation and set-up of for surgical procedures in the office and hospital operating rooms. Monitors patients and assists with general anesthesia and IV sedation procedures in hospital and outpatient office settings. Discusses post-operative instructions for care and management with the patient. Relays post-operative complications/questions to surgeon. Maintains surgical equipment. Licensure / Certification / Registration: Preferred Credentials: Dental Anest Asst Natl Cert credentialed from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Assistant credentialed from the Michigan Board of Dentistry BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
