This role varies depending on thetype of vehicle being assembled (prototype vs production). Your work willdirectly support our mission to provide world-class solutions whilemaintaining the highest standards of service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-Assemble vehicle components and subassemblies according to engineeringdrawings, work orders, and process instructions-Ensure that each vehicle meets Pratt Miller’s quality standards-Perform detailed inspections to verify the accuracy and functionalityof each assembly-Work with a close-knit team of engineers, designers, fabricators, andmechanics to meet departmental goals and deadlines efficiently-Maintain detailed documentation of progress, ensuring work is clearlytracked and any issues are promptly addressed-Maintain a clean and organized work environment-Ensure work environment and processes adhere to outlined safetyregulations-Use provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:-Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and processinstructions-Strong mechanical aptitude-Proficiency with common hand tools and equipment-Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with amultidisciplinary team-Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing world-classproducts-Dependable & punctual, with reliable mode of transportation-Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment-Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods-Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends if necessary to meetdeadlines.-Work hours: Day Shift, 6:00 or 6:30 AM start, Mon-Fri, 40hr work week(overtime as required)-Must be able to commute to New Hudson every day.EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:-High School diploma or GED equivalent required-A minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceDESIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:-Prior experience in low volume, prototype level vehicle assembly orrelated manufacturing environments-Prior vehicle repair, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience-Basic metalworking/fabrication skills-Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)-Knowledge of vehicle-related pneumatic and/or cooling systems-Knowledge of HV electrical vehicle systemsWhat are the top 3 qualifications you are looking for?-Previous vehicle assembly and/or repair experience-Dependable with reliable transportation, available to work 40-50hr/week-Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand the majority of the dayWhat is preferred but not required?-Electric/High-voltage vehicle experience-Owns some tools that can be used onsite-Paint/powder coat experience-Welding/fabrication
