Job DescriptionThe Director of Enterprise Pharmacy Strategy is a high-impact, cross-functional strategy and customer engagement leader who is a practicing or former expert pharmacist responsible for defining and driving Oracle Health's end-to-end pharmacy ecosystem modernization strategy. Leveraging Oracle Health's global leadership in EHR platforms and the full power of Oracle Fusion for enterprise operations, this role spans from provider prescription creation and clinical decision support, through transmission/routing to retail/mail-order/specialty pharmacies, to patient receipt of filled prescriptions with modern tools enabling compliance, automated refills, optimized medication management, and seamless supply chain/inventory control.This role partners with health system executives, pharmacy leaders (hospital, retail chains, mail-order operations), and internal product/engineering stakeholders to translate real-world needs into actionable strategies, roadmap priorities, and go-to-market (GTM) motions to accelerate adoption, expansion, and competitive differentiation across global markets.Positioned at the intersection of EHR-embedded clinical workflows, retail pharmacy fulfillment, and Fusion-powered enterprise operations, it articulates an integrated medication lifecycle vision that enhances safety, automates routine tasks, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives operational excellence.Responsibilities) Lead EHR-Embedded, Reimagined Pharmacy Workflow Strategy Define the strategy and target operating model for EHR-embedded pharmacy workflows, from provider prescription creation and e-prescribing with clinical decision support, to pharmacist verification/collaboration (e.g., changes, renewals, substitutions), automated refills, compliance checks (e.g., prior auth, formulary), and optimized medication management tools. Partner with health system CMIOs, CPOs, and clinical leaders as well as Oracle Health product leaders to articulate the future-state, agent-assisted workflows that minimize errors, reduce clinician/pharmacist burden, ensure patient adherence, and integrate real-time status visibility. Translate customer/market insights into prioritized strategic requirements and roadmap recommendations for Oracle Health product teams, aligning to outcomes like reduced refill delays, improved adherence rates, and enhanced safety metrics. Guide customer adoption: governance, change management, training, and workflow redesign for automation-enabled operations compliant with global standards (e.g., NCPDP, FHIR). 2) Develop Oracle Health Market Expansion Strategy for Retail Pharmacy Build and refine a targeted expansion strategy for retail pharmacy organizations (national chains, regional grocers, specialty/mail-order operations), positioning Oracle Health as the EHR backbone for high-volume, tech-enabled fulfillment. Articulate essential modernization solutions: automated high-volume dispensing, intelligent exception handling (e.g., insurance adjudication, shortages), omnichannel patient engagement (e.g., app/text notifications for pickup/refills/adherence), operational analytics, and seamless integration with clinical/payer systems. Track evolving competitive dynamics, including investor-backed entrants offering tech-first fulfillment models and major retailers' large-scale modernization initiatives (e.g., AI-driven routing, robotics, direct-to-patient delivery) informing agile GTM adaptations without vendor-specific dependencies. Lead market discovery via executive interviews, workshops, and forums to validate needs, refine positioning/messaging/packaging, and unlock new revenue streams. Provider-side Rx generation/decision support in Oracle Health EHR. Secure transmission/routing to retail/mail-order/specialty fulfillment. Patient-facing delivery (filled Rx receipt, compliance tools, automated refills, adherence nudges). Enterprise backend (Fusion-powered inventory, supply chain procurement, financial reconciliation). 3) Lead End-to-End Pharmacy Ecosystem Modernization Using Oracle Health + Fusion Capabilities Architect the holistic pharmacy ecosystem strategy, unifying: Collaborate across Oracle Health and Fusion teams to craft a compelling "One Oracle" narrative: leveraging global EHR scale for clinical precision + Fusion HCM/ERP/SCM for operational resilience and predictive inventory. Recommend build/buy/partner decisions to address gaps (e.g., advanced routing orchestration, specialty compounding, real-time shortage mitigation), providing third-party evaluation expertise. Ensure strategy alignment across portfolios, customer commitments, roadmaps, and delivery driving measurable global impact on efficiency, compliance, and patient outcomes. Additional Core Responsibilities (Strategy & Customer Engagement) Executive Engagement: Lead strategic workshops/briefings with C-suite pharmacy leaders (providers/retail); act as trusted SME advising on modernization roadmaps. Insight Synthesis: Capture/synthesize pharmacy pain points/market trends; feed into Oracle's product roadmap and prioritization for continuous evolution. Operational Excellence: Support engagement intake/triage to prioritize high-impact pharmacy interactions; track KPIs for strategy execution. GTM Support: Advise on collateral, demos, pricing, and enablement to accurately reflect pharmacy capabilities, Fusion integrations, and global EHR leadership. Required Qualifications Pharmacy Expertise: PharmD (or equivalent) with active/recent licensure; 10+ years in pharmacy operations/leadership (health systems, retail chains, mail-order/specialty, or consulting) with proven end-to-end workflow mastery (Rx creation ? patient receipt).
