As a Mechanical & Fuel Gas Inspector with the City of Boise, youll use your years in the trade to ensure HVAC and fuel gas systems are installed right and built to last - protecting the community you live and work in. In this role, youll conduct independent inspections on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects, review mechanical plans, and help contractors and homeowners navigate code requirements. You know what good work looks like, and youll be the one signing off on it. This position is open to both senior-level inspectors and journeyman-level candidates - If you hold an active Idaho Journeyman HVAC license, we want to hear from you. Is capable of performing all duties of a Mechanical/Fuel Gas Inspector I, and provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group, as needed.
