Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Phoenix, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,068 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in MedSurg License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Recent medical/surgical experience. Charge nurse experience preferred. Telemetry experience preferred. Candidates must not be first-time travelers. Description: Candidates must have Level 1 trauma experience. A 50-mile radius rule applies for candidates. All clinical recommendations will be pre-screened. Candidates are required to pass a clinical exam prior to acceptance. Travel teams must have their own vehicles. Natural hair color is required with no facial piercings. Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing. A pass/fail exam will be conducted during orientation. All RNs are expected to complete a skills lab focused on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. This requirement excludes specific specialty areas. The hospital expects nurses to be competent in maintaining a sterile field. Candidates not competent in these areas may not be a good fit. Additional education will be provided for lifts, restraints, and wound care. An approximate bed count is 22 with private rooms. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:4-5. Heparin is the only titratable drip. No telemetry is directly available in the unit but skills are preferred. House Supervisors are available 24/7. No patient care technicians are utilized in this unit. Respiratory therapy will be assigned to the unit. Weekend requirements include three weekend shifts per pay period. Holidays are rotated among staff as needed. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating to other medical/surgical/telemetry areas may be required. Navy blue scrubs are the designated attire for nurses. Two shifts of orientation will be provided with a preceptor. This is a newer unit aiming to build a unified team. The facility allows for potential floating to other units. The cancellation policy permits cancellations of up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment. The charting system is Cerner.
