Job DescriptionAs a Trusts & Estates Attorney at Tully Rinckey PLLC, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel to individuals and families across a broad range of estate planning and estate administration matters. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and a client-centered approach to practice.You will:Advise clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration mattersDraft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and related estate planning documentsRepresent clients in Surrogate's Court proceedings and estate litigation mattersCounsel clients on asset protection and long-term planning strategiesProvide guidance on Medicaid planning and elder law matters (preferred)Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and trusted advocacyCollaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutionsSenior Associate and Partner-level attorneys will also:Manage and grow an existing book of businessMentor junior attorneys and contribute to practice development initiativesPlay an active role in expanding the firm's Trusts & Estates presence in the Rochester market What Are We Looking ForMinimum of 2 years of Trusts & Estates experienceExperience advising clients on estate planning and probate mattersMedicaid planning experience strongly preferredStrong drafting, litigation, and client communication skillsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolAdmitted and in good standing to practice in New York StateAbility to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environmentDemonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client serviceSenior Associate and Partner candidates must have an existing book of business Compensation & BenefitsBeginning January 1, 2026, newly admitted attorneys at Tully Rinckey PLLC receive a starting salary of $120,000, along with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses of up to 60% of base salary, rewarding productivity, excellence, and client impact.
