IT Buyer

IT Buyer As an IT Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential to building and launching Terran R rockets. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing aligned with the mission to revolutionize aerospace through additive manufacturing. Responsibilities: Process purchase requests into purchase orders using ERP systems efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with internal teams to gather procurement requirements and translate them into RFQs and POs. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to optimize value for the business. Manage supplier relationships under the guidance of Category Managers to ensure quality and reliability. Resolve procurement issues throughout the lifecycle of an order, including invoice discrepancies and delivery delays. Support strategic sourcing initiatives to improve procurement processes and reduce costs. Essential Skills: Proficient in procurement and supply chain management. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Netsuite. Strong negotiation skills. Expertise in purchase order creation and invoice management. Advanced skills in Excel. At least 3 years of purchasing experience within IT or indirect purchasing. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 3 plus years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment: This role is based in a manufacturing environment located in Long Beach. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Long Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
