Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a metal manufacturer in the Auburn, IN area, is seeking production operators and machine operators to join their team! This is a climate-controlled facility offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing! Press Operator Job Summary: Pay:$19.50 an hour. Shifts Available: 1st Shift - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (Mandatory OT) . 2nd Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Mandatory OT) . 3rd Shift- 10:00pm - 6:30am (Mandatory OT) . MUST BE OPEN TO 3rd shift if on 1st or 2nd, may possibly be transferred to 3rd shift after getting hired in after 30 days. Overtime - Temps may be asked to come in 4 hours before or stay 4 hours after shift. Overtime - Can vary from week to week depending on orders, may be daily and may include Saturday. Company is a stamping and assembly facility, it is very loud. Key Responsibilities: Operate stamping presses as required. Meet production efficiencies. and maintains quality checks including SPC charts as required. Obtain first sample and maintain oilers. Adheres to all shop safety rules and regulations and reports all unsafe conditions Load and unload parts as required. Label parts. Repair minor problems (inserts, adjust sensors and locator boxes). Tag and move parts boxes. Process hourly/daily paperwork as required. Operates, monitors and helps maintain machine/equipment (press, cranes, forklifts etc). Feeds equipment and tooling . Performs or assists in die changes . Move parts and product to appropriate positions. Lift/push/pull parts weighing at times anywhere from 10-50 lbs. Stand, walk, and move into and out of the work area. Assist quality and maintenance personnel with issues related to production. Repair product as required. Operate machinery as required. Identify and document problems, sets goals, tracks progress and works with teams to implement solutions.. Report issues and concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor. Basic understanding of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards. Watch for potential concerns or issues. Train other operators and document training in matrix. Be self-directed and encourage continuous improvement through involvement and input. Clean and organize area, keep free of clutter and safety hazards - 6S. Regular and punctual, in-person attendance is required. Production Operator Qualifications: Ability to complete visual quality inspections. Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety guidelines. Good verbal communication skills as evidenced in peer relations. Ability to work independently at multiple stations as a member of the production team. Ability to lift/pull/push loads of 10-50 lbs at an expected rate. Ability to work in an upright/standing position for up to 8 hours at a time. Ability to operate production line equipment including a weld tool and rivet guns. Maintain a good attendance record . Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to work as a team member. Basic understanding of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards . Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, product, or equipment. The associate is regularly required to talk and hear. The associate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms in operating or repairing equipment, welding, grinding or conducting inspection. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Climbing stairs. Repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds continuously 8+ hours per day . Bending and stooping continuously 8+ hours per day. Standing continuously 8+ hours per day . Reaching - repetitive extension of arms 8+ hours per day. Depth perception. Work Environment and other Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving equipment.? The noise level in the work environment is very loud.
