Infrastructure Lead

Job Summary The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing hybrid infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments. This role ensures high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise systems while applying best architecture practices. It also involves leading a technical team, managing daily operations, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support business and technical objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and deployment of hybrid infrastructure solutions integrating Azure cloud and on-premises systems. Develop infrastructure governance policies, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans. Oversee daily infrastructure operations and ensure compliance with security and performance standards. Manage data center operations, Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, Active Directory), and on-premises resources. Lead cloud engineering and DevOps practices. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell. Optimize resource utilization and drive cost efficiencies across hybrid environments. Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to support and optimize deployments. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure engineers. Leverage monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and on-premises monitoring solutions for proactive incident management. Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and security requirements across cloud and on-premises platforms. Required Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of experience in core infrastructure roles. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security). Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. Experience managing on-premises environments including Dell EMC hosts, VMware, Unity storage, and Fibre Channel switches. Proficiency in automation scripting using PowerShell and Bash, along with CI/CD pipeline integration. Strong networking experience including firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and virtual networks. Experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions. Experience with hybrid cloud integrations and migration strategies. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Familiarity with additional cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a hybrid onsite role. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cross-functional collaboration across infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. Demonstrated capability in team leadership and stakeholder management.
