Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Bloomfield, CT Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite Work Schedule : Rotating 2-week schedule shared with another Physician Assistant. Position Overview: We are seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a busy Urgent Care practice . The provider will deliver urgent care and occupational health services , including pre-employment and DOT physicals , while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills in acute care, patient assessment, and treatment planning , and be comfortable caring for pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations. Diagnose and treat acute conditions and injuries in an urgent care setting. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans. Provide wound care, medication administration, and minor procedures. Conduct occupational health services , including pre-employment and DOT physicals . Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete encounter notes within 24 hours . Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program . Active Connecticut Physician Assistant License required. Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required. Federal DEA License required. DOT Medical Examiner Certification required. CPR and AED Certification required. Spanish-speaking ability preferred . Urgent care or acute care experience preferred . Minimum 1 year of experience preferred , though new graduates may be considered .
