Job Id: ATTJP00040088Job Title: QA Test EngineerDuration: 12 Months+ (Good possibility of extension)Location: Atlanta, GA (Local Candidates only)Job Description: Cricket IT Network team is looking for a motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to help validate the quality, performance, and reliability of our mobility network infrastructure, device portfolio, and customer-facing applications (mobile and web). You'll design and execute tests, document results, collaborate closely with engineers and product partners, contribute to automation, and help ensure a smooth customer experience across carrier-grade services. Local candidates in Atlanta, GA as the position is on-site 5 days/weekTop 5 Skills Required: Verifies device performance against existing and proposed device features and applications Provide testing leadership by developing and implementing a holistic testing strategy for Network Services Testing for major technology introductions and business initiatives Network Services testing - test various network call flows for VoLTE, 5G and future technologies - pull RadComm traces Must be a strong results-oriented individual with a demonstrated ability to effectively execute, manage testing efforts, document results and present as required. Cross functional collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, UX, and vendors to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and align on acceptance. Automation & scripting experience using but not limited to Python; Selenium/Appium/Cypress/Playwright Key Responsibilities: Test planning & execution: Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for devices, APIs, and web/mobile apps (functional, integration, regression, and exploratory). Defect management: Log, triage, track, and verify fixes using a work-tracking system (e.g., Jira) with clear, reproducible defect documentation. Requirements testability: Review user stories/requirements for clarity and testability; contribute test conditions and acceptance criteria early in the lifecycle. Performance & reliability support: Assist with performance, load, and stress testing to baseline and monitor system behavior and customer experience. Security & compliance support: Execute security test checks and follow secure test data handling; escalate issues that implicate security or compliance. Environment & data setup: Configure lab devices, emulators/simulators, and test environments; manage test data and resets to ensure repeatability. CI/CD awareness: Run/monitor tests in pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions); interpret results and file issues with high-quality evidence (logs, screenshots, traces). System & network validation: Capture and analyze mobility network traces/logs using pcap, logcat, syslog and tools like Wireshark. Familiarity with Ericsson RADCOM suite for network level tracing in support of device, RAN/core, and application troubleshooting. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, UX, and vendors to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and align on acceptance. Documentation: Maintain test plans, suites, and run reports; summarize test outcomes, risks, and release readiness. Continuous improvement: Recommend test coverage and process improvements; help expand regression suites. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 0-2 years in software or device testing (professional, internship, co-op, or academic project experience welcomed). Foundational skills: Understanding of testing fundamentals (functional, integration, regression, exploratory) and SDLC concepts (Agile and Waterfall). Ability to write clear test cases and bug reports; strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving. Basic proficiency with a scripting language (e.g., Python) for simple test utilities or data parsing. Familiarity with mobile OS (Android/iOS/Windows) and test management/defect tools (e.g., TestRail/Zephyr, Jira). Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain technical findings to non-technical partners. Telecom domain exposure: fundamentals of LTE/5G (NSA/SA), VoLTE/VoNR, RCS messaging, and carrier device validation/certification workflows Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications): Exposure to automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright) - executing and updating existing scripts. Awareness of CI/CD testing and branching basics with Git. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) and interpreting key metrics (throughput, latency, error rates). Experience with system/network testing tools.(e.g., Wireshark) and common logs/traces (pcap, logcat). Ericsson RADCOM suite for network level tracing in support of device, RAN/core, and application troubleshooting.
