Hybrid position; 3x a week onsite POSITION SUMMARY: A strategic role within the North American Procurement team, the Global Buyer will support IT Procurement (IT hardware, software and services) by participating in and planning RFP opportunities, while adhering to Procurement policy, spend management goals, and company plan objectives to support all divisions, as well as all regions (North America, EMEA and APAC). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: • Partner with stakeholders of assigned division(s) and global regions, as well as corporate partners (when necessary) to understand requisition requirements, support creation of sourcing strategy, execution, and management of projects • Strategically identify opportunities and analyze global spend for sourcing initiatives. • Provide operational support (budget review and procurement process guidance) to internal stakeholders • ARIBA - ability to utilize the Ariba system including Sourcing, P2P, and Spend Visibility modules • Assist/Support in the development of global RFP specifications, standards, and strategy • Assist/Support in the management of global Procurement programs/projects • Participate in quarterly global IT meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss current projects, to anticipate/identify sourcing opportunities, and maintain regular communication channels • Provide support to the Global IT Director and Global Senior Managers • Balance tactical executions with company strategic and financial objectives to drive cost reduction • Actively participate in global vendor evaluations and negotiations. • Manage and stay current on changes that may affect the supply/demand of core supplies or services, and communicate this information to internal stakeholders • Approve Requisitions and conduct supporting documentation outreach as needed. • Support enforcement of Procurement Policy globally with internal stakeholders. • Proactively manage the contract renewals process and provide a list of upcoming renewals to Sr. Managers and Directors for appropriate action. • Maintain a database of projects with all necessary metrics supporting IT global spend (~$138M). • Support the evaluation of project risks from a Procurement perspective and support the creation of mitigation strategies. Experience: 1-3 years work experience in Procurement. Retail corporate environment a plus Education: 4-year College degree required. Procurement Certifications a plus Skills: ARIBA, Microsoft Office, negotiations, project management, Procurement (end to end process - RFP, PO, payment), strategic sourcing, vendor management, etc. Ability to create, execute, and analyze reports and metrics using Microsoft Excel a plus (e.g. pivot tables).
