The hourly pay rate for this position is $23.14 and has a maximum of 28 hours per week. Why work for Sinclair College? This position description does not represent in any way a contract of employment.Principal Accountabilities Assist with the direction of automotive classroom laboratory training operations Oversee laboratory training operation Set-up and coordinate laboratory activities with instructors Provide instructional support with students in performing laboratory activities Maintain and inventory classroom, laboratory areas, tools, and supplies Maintain departmental fleet Assist in the updating and maintenance of the automotive computer network system and scan tools Support departmental activities with instructors and department chairperson Maintain automotive knowledge and ASE certification by attending corporation/update-training classes Maintain training environment to meet safety and OSHA regulations Maintain and purchase tools, equipment, and supply inventories Requirements Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, accompanied with 5 years' work experience in automotive technology, OR an associate's degree accompanied with 3 years' work experience in automotive technology required Current ASE certification in a minimum of 4 areas required Master ASE certification status will be required in one year from date of hire Ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with students and instructors in a supportive role required Basic computer skills required Ability to exhibit professional leadership skills required Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and other times deemed necessary required
